Jeffrey Campbell Knock Offs

My daughter's high school graduation is next friday!

There's not much "fashion" or "beauty" to a Cap & Gown. But with Dajha being so "fashion forward", I knew she was gonna think of a way to stand out from the crowd. So in this case, she chose to amp up her shoe game!

If you have never visited the Knock Me Off blog, shame on you! Head over there right now and check them out. If there's something you want but it's way too expensive for your budget, but you really love it, they will find a great priced replica and post them both for you. That's how we found these beautiful Jeffrey Campbell The Night Walk Shoes

The "Real" ones are only $170, which are actually kind of affordable...

But why buy the real ones when you can get these from gojane.com for $34!!
Honestly, there can't be much difference. What do you think? The one thing that sold Dajha on this shoe was that the replica had a beautiful velvetty red sole (Louboutin style), but the authentic JC shoe sole is solid black.
I can't wait to see her all dolled up in these fabulous shoes. They are truly a beautiful work of art, just like her! Thanks to the folks at Knock Me Off and thanks to you for reading!

The Blue That Beyonce Made Famous

This is Baker Street by Nails Inc.

I had seen many photos of celebs wearing this gorgeous blue on their nails, but it took me a while to find out exactly what blue it was.

Then about a month ago, I saw photos of Beyonce and Angela Simmons wearing this color on The Fashion Bomb Blog. The color really took off when it was blogged that Beyonce wore this blue in honor of the birth of her baby girl Blue Ivy. So I decided to I log onto the Nails Inc. site to buy it, but for some reason it would not let me purchase it, maybe because it was an international purchase. Crazy website. Oh well. So then I decided to place a phone order...international call...crap! Nevermind. I was sad.

Then I went back to her blog again and noticed the Sephora link. Score! Nope. Sold out. Lose. Sad again.

But I kept checking back, and it was finally in stock again! Yay me! This is the best electric blue ever!

My favorite blue used to be Revlon Royal.

Then it was Essie Aruba Blue

But there's a new blue in my life yall...Baker Street is my new number one! It's so vibrant and cheerful. And it's a great Spring/Summer color. I can't wait to try it on my toes...I love it!

Random Thursday: Pinterest Boards

I am just in LOVE with Pinterest!!!

I have seen and tried so many wonderful things. It has inspired me to get out and do more with my life, and not be such a work-a-holic and worry wart (not sure if I spelled those right).

Creating the boards and organizing your pins is too fun! Here is a quick snapshot of mine.
Click the link in the top right corner to follow me...

I just don't know if I can name a favorite, I love them all. I've learned so much about regular old household cleaning, things that I could have made myself instead spending outrageous amounts of money on, and Pinterest has also inspired some future vacations!! Oh yea, I need a vacations board now!!

What inspires you on Pinterest? What are your favorite things to pin?

Top Coat Tuesday: Pinterest Inspired

I saw this on Pinterest, and then realized that I follow this young lady's blog too! Visit the nailasaurus blog. She is great!! I loved this look, but I wanted to change it up slightly.

I used:
Sally Hansen Right Said Red
Ruby Kisses (? gold)
10 Professional Nail Lacquer StarStruck
Orly Shining Star (glitter top coat on pinky finger)
SV TopCoat

Nailasaurus used black, where I used blue. Changing this to blue made it feel so much like a "Wonder Woman" mani. I loved it!!

Pamper Me Monday: Late Post

Homemade Body Shimmer

I love body shimmer, but I really don't like to buy it. Sometimes its too glittery, and sometimes its too golden. I don't wanna look blinged out unless I'm accessorizing, or look toasted anymore than I already am.

So, I crushed up some of my favorite gold Milani eyeshadow and stirred it into my favorite Body Butter, about a 4 to 1 mixture. Then I added 1/4 teaspoon of gold body glitter. Here is my exact recipe:

1/4 tsp gold eyeshadow
1/4 teaspoon gold body glitter
1 cup lotion

I've never tried this before, so I wasn't sure if it would work, but it did! The eyeshadow changed my body butter to a nice, smooth khaki, which I looove! And it added a slight shimmer along with the gold body glitter. It's just the right amount for me!! This did not translate well in photos, I assume it's because of how subtle it is, so sorry no photos of my lotioned up body! But trust me, it is great!!
